FSA and Novel Foods Statement

As of 1st April 2021, all CBD products classed as Novel Foods must have an active FSA Application or Authorisation with or from the FSA.  On the 1st April 2022 the FSA published part of a list of companies who have applied for Novel Status.

There is an important difference between the two types of CBD oils as some CBD products are classed as “Traditional”, such as Cold Pressed oils and therefore they are not classed as “Novel” and therefore they do not require Authorisation.  All products sold here are sourced from manufacturers who have active applications or are or are made from Cold Pressed oils and therefore outside of Novel Foods due to their Traditional status.
